Baseball Season Is Here!

Today opened up baseball season for our Rebels. Our varsity played at home while Parker's JV team played away in Maplesville. We won 10-0 in the 5th, and Parker's JV won big 17-2. We have to split up on days the boys play apart so the camera was in TTown today. Pictures coming Friday from Park's game at home against Billingsly. I can't wait to see them play.
Our Senior Rebels: Drew, Brantley, Evan, Joey, Cory. Love these guys.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Snow Day 2010

It finally snowed last Friday. School let out and we took it easy...all except Parker who shot basketball all day! Fun fun!

The view to the backyard was beautiful. Love those rare snow days.

Evan's Last Basketball Game 2-5-10

We traveled to Bham to Shades Mtn. Christian School for our last varsity basketball game for Evan. Parker got to play with Ev, and it was so awesome to see them together again on the court. They make a great team. I'd been dreaming of this since Parker was born. Ev's old friends were there to pick him up and take him out to eat afterwards. This was Ashlin's last night in the cheerleading uniform-last picture too. It was hard not to cry.
Mimi is one of his biggest fans. Thank you, Mimi for always supporting and being there. Tears were falling tonight after the final minutes of the game were over. But...one door closes, another one opens, right? Love you, Mimi.

Senior Night

Senior basketball players and cheerleaders were recognized last Friday night in our gym. I've been waiting for years to see Evan be recognized, then when it was his turn, I almost cried! It's been a joy to watch him play for the past 6 years. He's grown so much since that first jr. high game, and has been a starter for THS all along. I'm going to miss you on the court, Evan. You are an awesome basketball player! (I'm your biggest fan, you know :) My brother, Kelly, was recognized with Evan and Russ for being former THS basketball players themselves.
Evan Fans After the Game: Michelle M., Kelly, Me, Alexa, Cathy, Mom, Jim, Braden M., Pop and Evan after the game. We beat Isabella and it was sweet!

Nicole and me after the ceremony both feeling teary. Our kids, Evan and Ashlin have been together in school and sports since Kindergarten.

Happy Birthday Dad!

Evan was 4 hrs. shy of being born on my Dad's birthday, Jan. 31st. Now they each have their own birthday, and we all get to celebrate two days in a row! Love ya, Dad! Here's to many more happy birthdays!

Evan's Party

Happy Birthday Evan!
Alexa, my niece, came with Mom and kept busy playing her DS. Isn't she cute?

Evan's 18th Birthday Party

Look at these goonies! I just love 'em!
Jenn Woodall and her kids, Mattie and Maddox came to surprise Evan. Maddox was in rare form! He was a hoot!

Ev's special friends:

Evan is 18!

Basketball had to be the party theme as Ev's been a basketball fan since he was born. We used to have to ride him around town looking for "go-go's"(basketball goals) when he was first talking. The party was kept a surprise and it turned out great with about 40 friends coming! I had so much fun preparing for it- no stress at all.....ha ha

I love my Evan. He's growing into such a fine young man I'm so proud of. He loves me too.
Little Evan with his go go cake turning 2. How precious is this? Vintage 1994
Big Evan with his go go cake turning 18.

Notice his tshirt his Mimi got him. He put it on just for her.
Happy Birthday, Evan. I sure do love you. Here's to many, many more.
